Plant Engineer

A1 Jobs are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering expertise and the physical capability to perform heavy lifting when required. This role is critical in maintaining efficient manufacturing operations and the integrity of plant equipment. The Plant Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring full compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality. * Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a timely and effective manner. * Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements. * Develop and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications. * Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations within the plant environment. * Contribute to project planning and implementation, including equipment upgrades and new machinery installations. Qualifications & Requirements * NVQ qualification and time-served engineering experience. * Proven track record as a Plant Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. * Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. * Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. * Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards in industrial settings. * A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering is preferred but not essential
