Are you passionate about student well-being and breaking down barriers to learning?
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Pastoral Support Worker to join a large, supportive Secondary School in Blackpool. you are mentoring young people, managing attendance, and helping students navigate the challenges of secondary school life.
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or social challenges.
Behaviour Support: Work alongside the pastoral team to implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalate conflicts.
Safeguarding: Ensure all student concerns are reported and managed in line with the school\โs safeguarding policies.
Experience: Previous experience in a pastoral role, youth work, or a similar environment (e.g., residential care or coaching) is essential.
Ability to communicate effectively with hard-to-reach teenagers, parents, and external agencies.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in youth work, counselling, or social care are a plus, but a proven track record of mentoring is key.
Safeguarding: An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
