Sales Engineer required for a reputable, long established engineering company based in Ipswich. The successful candidate will provide first class sales by answering any questions the customer might have about a product. To act as a liaison between the customer and production and to act as an expert in selling products to clients in line with their requirements and expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking orders for spares requests from customers and managing the orders by keeping the customer up to date, confirming the purchase with the Purchasing and Logistics Manager, ensuring the spares are packed and dispatched within set deadlines and advising the customer of delivery dates.
- To be proactive with sales by building relationships with existing customers to bring in new orders.
- Update the relevant database systems.
- Answering email and telephone requests from both existing and potential customers for spares orders.
- Utilise the Company database to seek out new sales opportunities.
Applicants must:
- Ideally have sales experience within mechanical engineering/or similar.
- Be able to question, challenge and improve processes.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise.
- Have a positive work attitude and be able to work methodically.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Building Sales Pipelines.
- Desirable to be able to read technical drawings and have a Mechanical Engineering background.
