Multi-Skilled Facilities Engineer Newmarket Full-Time | Permanent Salary: £40,000 £45,000 per annum A fantastic client of ours in Newmarket is seeking a Multi Skilled Facilities Engineer to join their growing team. You\’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing a range of electrical and mechanical systems across the estate – supporting smooth operations, safety, and ongoing improvement. You\’ll work closely with the Maintenance & Installation team to carry out both reactive and planned maintenance across a varied and interesting estate. From HVAC systems to boilers, pumps, and generators, this is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working to high standards. Key Responsibilities: Carry out inspections, repairs, and maintenance on all building systems Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life Respond promptly to emergency callouts to minimise downtime Liaise with contractors and oversee installations or upgrades Keep clear and accurate maintenance records and logs Support project planning and execution for system improvements Uphold Health & Safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment Mentor or assist junior staff/apprentices as required Qualifications & Skills: NVQ Level 3 / BTEC / ONC or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Previous experience in facilities or estate maintenance preferred Mechanical engineering experience (pumps, HVAC, boilers, etc.) 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations HVAC qualifications are highly desirable Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills A proactive, can-do attitude and a team-player mindset Benefits: Excellent working hours: MonFri, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (Occasional weekends with time off in lieu) Competitive salary with regular pay reviews Company pension scheme Private medical care Ongoing training and development support A friendly, professional team and a great work-life balance Apply Today!
