An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary with 3–5 years’ conveyancing experience to join a busy and supportive property team. This is a traditional legal secretary role — ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, is confident managing files and can provide dependable support from instruction to completion. We are seeking a seasoned legal support professional who takes pride in the efficiency and accuracy of their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
- Open and manage residential and/or commercial conveyancing files
- Draft standard documents and correspondence
- Handle property searches, Land Registry applications, SDLT returns and Companies House filings
- Monitor key dates and ensure accurate records are maintained
- Liaise professionally with clients, agents, and third parties
- Use case management systems effectively (LEAP and InfoTrack experience beneficial)
- Complete AML, compliance, and procedural checks accurately
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 3 years’ recent experience as a legal secretary in a conveyancing setting
- Strong working knowledge of property processes and legal terminology
- Fast and accurate typing with excellent IT skills
- Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to manage routine matters independently
- A confident communicator with a proactive, client-focused approach
