CTS Recruitment is sourcing Street Care Operatives in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To assist in providing, either individually, or as a member of a team, an efficient street cleansing service within Hertfordshire.
To load on refuse and recycling as required (payment will be made for job being done). This is a long term on-going contract which may lead to a permanent job.

MAIN DUTIES:

To carry out manual sweeping of street and public (urban environment) areas.

To carry out cleansing duties such as litter picking, emptying litter and dog waste bins, washing signs/other street furniture to streets, parks, open spaces, cemeteries and other such sites as directed by the Area Street Care Officer.

To be responsible for own safety and not endangering that of colleagues, others in the work place and the general public. To ensure that the duties undertaken within the postholders’ area/responsibility are carried out in accordance with the Council’s policies under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

To work in accordance with any safety instructions issued by the Area Street Care Officer and to ensure that all accidents/incidents and other potential dangers are reported to the Supervisor or Operational Services Manager.

To undertake other similar duties which may be required from time to time.

7am start time, 36 hours a week plus overtime paid from the 37th hour worked at time and a half.

Pay rate is £12.29P/H to £18.44 P/H
