Relief Weighbridge Operative

Overview

Join Breedon Group as a Relief Weighbridge Operative at our Risby Quarry & Concrete Plant, Durham. As a key member of our Operations and Maintenance team, you will support a busy network across North‑East England, ensuring efficient weighbridge operation and customer coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Book vehicles in and out of all sites (multiple).
• Direct goods inwards to correct stockpile/location and liaise with site teams.
• Control entry to site of all customers, vehicles and visitors.
• Maintain the weighbridge area, including upkeep, cleanliness of equipment and workstations.
• Conduct site inspections (Environmental and Health & Safety), reporting defects and issues to the site manager.
• Provide customer liaison on any items that may affect service, keeping customers aware of any delays.
• Ensure customer accounts are in order before loading.
• Coordinate asphalt plant programming and transport across multiple sites.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role is a distinct advantage but training will be provided.
• Good numeracy skills for quick and accurate data processing.
