We are seeking to recruit a Trainee Careers Adviser to join our friendly community team in Manchester.

Salary: Starting at £26,262 per annum, increasing after successful completion of a 6-month probation and upon qualification.

You will support 16–18-year-olds who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET), helping them identify their career goals and access training and employment opportunities.

This role is based at The Millennium Powerhouse in Moss Side, with flexible work locations across Manchester.

Career Connect is a charity with over 20 years’ experience, dedicated to supporting young people, adults, and families to achieve their career ambitions. We aim to promote social mobility and enable individuals to succeed in education, training, and employment.

Your role will involve working closely with partner organizations, engaging directly with young people, their families, and professionals from support services, training providers, and employers across Manchester. Excellent communication, time management, and the ability to travel independently are essential.

Requirements include holding a relevant degree or equivalent qualification and relevant experience.

Our full-time staff work a 35-hour week. Benefits include holidays starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with additional days for longer service, and a day off on your birthday. We also offer mileage reimbursement, eye care vouchers, cycle scheme, electric car scheme, travel loans, and more.
