Assistant Accountant

JOB TYPE: Permanent – Monday to Friday

Role Purpose

As an Assistant Accountant, you will assist the Management Accountant in the production of accounts. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Keeping and reconciling cashbook, cash sales ledger & asset register.
• Maintaining up-to-date reconciliations of nominal ledger accounts.
• Assisting the Management Accountant in the production & maintenance of the accounts.
• Ensuring that the company procedures are followed by staff and suppliers and that continuing improvements are made.
• Assisting with the audit process.
• Raising payments on our banking software for approval.
• Performing other tasks which may be required to be undertaken by the Finance department.

Experience Required

• AAT Level 4 or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including vlookups & pivot tables).
