Are you passionate about improving employment outcomes for young people from underserved backgrounds? Do you enjoy organising and undertaking tasks to ensure projects run smoothly? You will be working closely with our Programme & Community team and global employers such as Salesforce, Google, PwC and Johnson & Johnson to plan, deliver and evaluate our grassroots and employability programmes.

You will be responsible for supporting the recruitment of young people to our programmes and ensuring the highest possible standard of delivery for our community of young people. We’re looking for someone comfortable with organising, managing and analysing data and finding creative ways of engaging with programme participants and stakeholders. The role also presents the opportunity to work with some of the world’s largest employers as they join us to attract and engage their early-career STEM talent.

  • Grassroots programmes where we take young people aged 14-16 on a journey to solve local problems surrounding sustainability and become future STEM leaders.
  • Employability programmes to coach thousands of young people aged 16 - 25 into the world of work with intimate workshops and relatable role models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to content ideation for programme curriculums.
  • Coordinate and host project meetings, training sessions and workshops including travel and expenses for external team e.g. guest speakers, facilitators and mentors as required.
  • Lead on asset management of programme materials including tech, stationary and banners etc.
  • Support outreach and recruitment of educational institutions (schools/colleges/universities etc) and young people ensuring programme objectives are met.
  • Engage with internal and external community groups on social media to foster a sense of belonging and expand scope of participation.
  • Adhere to the Safeguarding policies and escalate safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Team.
  • Initiate and maintain project documentation, tracking tools and project management systems.
  • Contribute to impact reporting for the internal team and support the Programmes Team with data collection, evaluation and data analysis for external reports.
  • Raise any financial queries with the Programme Manager (PM) promptly.

Content & Marketing Collaboration:

  • Lead on newsletter outputs for various stakeholders: partners, educational institutions, young people, mentors etc.
  • Support the Marketing team with relevant programme content and success stories, including newsletter outputs.
  • Assist in gathering media content during programmes for internal and external use.

Qualifications:

  • A strong communicator with experience working in youth development, events, education or outreach.
  • Excellent IT skills, capable of using all Microsoft Office packages, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Canva, survey tools, web-based datasets and CRMS.
  • Confident in working with an array of stakeholders from young people to corporate partners.
  • Comfortable with data and reporting tools, and open to learning digital project management systems.
  • Passionate about equity, inclusion and helping young people reach their potential.
