About The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic play worker with a NVQ level 3, a willingness to work towards this qualification, in childcare or equivalent qualification to join our well-established team. This role will involve supporting children in the Before and After school club, supervising and joining in their play.

The successful candidates will:

• Demonstrate a commitment to our school ethos and values
• Have a passion for promoting and supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
• Practical knowledge of child development and child related issues.
• Have an awareness of the play principles.
• Be able to support the learning and wellbeing of children of different ages across school as required
• Be able to relate well to both children and adults and be able to work well in a team
• Duties will include providing snacks and drinks for children, liaising with parents and joining in with children’s play and maintaining a safe environment.

Grade: 1 Level A – £12.38 per hour

Working Hours: Flexible to meet the needs of the school

Contract: Casual, currently term-time only, with plans to expand into school holidays

Based at: Thornham St. James C.E (Controlled) Primary School, Castleton Road, Royton, Oldham OL2 6XT
