Transport Manager

We are a Specialist Heavy Haulage Company based in Stockport established in 1950

We are looking for a a reliable and experienced Transport Manager to join our specialist Team

Previous experience within a similar role is a necessity.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all vehicles in the fleet are regularly maintained and roadworthy
• Performing regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Assigning and overseeing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks
• Ensuring that all drivers are properly trained and qualified
• Maintaining accurate records for each vehicle and the cargo transported
• Overseeing the planning and scheduling of routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
• Monitoring transportation costs and finding ways to reduce expenses
• Managing all aspects of the O Licence including legal compliance, tachograph rules and driver infringements
• Dealing with driver disciplinaries where necessary
• Ensuring all transport and health and safety requirements are met
• Managing all levels of fleet maintenance and scheduling repairs when necessary
• Booking in Transport and Admin

Requirements:

• Experience within a similar role is essential
• International Transport Management CPC
• Results driven
• Flexible and reliable with a good attitude
• Team Player
