Transport Manager

Are you a dynamic, organised, and proactive Transport Manager looking for your next exciting challenge? We’re working with a highly successful, fast-growing UPVC & Aluminium Window and Door manufacturer based in Essex. They’re on the lookout for a confident Transport Manager to take the reins of their transport operation. As Transport Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant delivery of high-quality window and door products to customers across the region and beyond. You’ll manage a dedicated team of drivers, oversee route planning, vehicle maintenance, and compliance, and work closely with production and customer service teams to maintain exceptional service levels. Role Responsibilities: * Oversee daily transport operations, managing a fleet of vehicles and drivers. * Plan and schedule deliveries to maximise efficiency and meet customer deadlines. * Ensure full legal compliance with all transport and HGV regulations. * Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and records. * Monitor KPIs and costs, identifying opportunities for improvement. * Build strong working relationships across internal departments and with customers. Candidate Skills & Experience: * Proven experience in a Transport Manager role, ideally within window and door manufacturing. * Excellent organisational and leadership skills. * Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements. * A positive, hands-on attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
