Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Axcis Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work at a very friendly school in Wednesbury (WS10). The school are specifically looking for an outgoing and caring individual who has previous experience with severe ASD supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in smaller groups with their day to day lessons.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including ASD, Makaton, PECS
- Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials to meet individual student needs
- Provide emotional and behavioural support to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage social interaction and engagement in classroom activities
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage students to participate in classroom activities
- Support teachers in managing the classroom and helping with lesson preparation.
