The Role
As an Employment Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance and support to unemployed individuals, helping them progress into employment, training, or education. Key aspects of the role include:
- Delivering one-on-one and group interventions, including initial assessments, inductions, job search sessions, and follow-up appointments.
- Identifying and addressing individual barriers to employment while creating tailored action plans for each participant.
- Working closely with partners such as Job Centre Plus, local colleges, training providers, and employers to ensure individuals have the resources they need to succeed.
- Supporting customers in CV preparation, job search activities, and ongoing career planning.
- Facilitating group learning sessions that improve employability and preparing individuals for the job market.
- Contributing to team goals by meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing exceptional customer service throughout each participant's journey.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience working within sales, customer service, or the welfare-to-work industry.
- Strong knowledge of the local labour market, recruitment methods, and opportunities in growth industries.
- Proven ability to meet targets and work under pressure in a high-performance environment.
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills, with the ability to engage individuals and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong IT skills, including experience with MI systems, spreadsheets, and email.
