About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design Technology Teacher with a focus on Food Technology to join our thriving department. This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to start their teaching journey in a supportive and innovative secondary school environment. As a DT Food specialist, you will inspire students to develop their skills and knowledge in food preparation, nutrition, and healthy living. You\’ll be teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons that ignite curiosity and creativity. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology within the Design Technology faculty * Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (including GCSE) * Assess, monitor, and record students’ progress * Create a safe and supportive learning environment with strong classroom management * Contribute to the development of schemes of work and curriculum planning * Attend departmental and whole-school CPD sessions and contribute to school life The Ideal Candidate Will: * Hold (or be working towards) QTS with a specialism in Design Technology – Food * Be enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to supporting students to achieve their full potential * Be a reflective practitioner eager to improve and develop professionally * Be organised, resilient, and adaptable to the demands of a busy school day * Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills To apply, please send your CV
