Rising Talent Recruitment is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Controls Engineer to join a reputable company located in Fife. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and support of electrical and control systems, primarily focusing on marine applications such as ship fin stabiliser and steering systems. Your expertise will drive the entire product lifecycle engineering, from requirement capture to end-of-life support, including developing new systems and maintaining legacy ones. This position involves programming Siemens PLCs, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with a cross-functional team to ensure successful integration of control systems while adhering to strict industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer technical requirements.
- Create and maintain necessary documentation: drawings, specifications, engineering bill of materials, test procedures, and operation manuals.
- Program and configure Siemens PLCs to meet project specifications.
- Develop and test new designs and prototypes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design and programming issues.
- Conduct hazard/risk assessments and system testing.
- Collaborate with mechanical and project engineers.
- Provide technical support to customers.
- Complete tasks on time and to the required quality standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Adhere to QHS&E and Business Management policies.
