Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham is looking for a confident, experienced Teaching Assistant to join their Year 1 team. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of Key Stage 1 and a passion for early learning.

You\’ll be joining a supportive, community-focused school where your contribution is truly valued.

Your Role:

• Support the class teacher with daily routines and learning activities
• Work with small groups to deliver phonics and literacy interventions
• Provide 1:1 support for children who may need additional help
• Help maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment
• Track pupil progress and support their social and emotional development

What We\’re Looking For:

• Essential: Experience working in Year 1 or across KS1
• Level 3 TA qualification (or relevant qualification/experience)
• Confident delivering phonics (Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds ideal)
• A patient, nurturing approach and excellent communication skills
• A genuine passion for helping children thrive
