Project Quality Leader GBP50,000 GBP55,000 + Excellent Benefits Staffordshire (Hybrid)

Are you a quality-driven engineering professional with a passion for delivering excellence in automotive projects? A global tier-one supplier is seeking a Project Quality Leader to join their dynamic team based in Staffordshire.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring quality standards are upheld across complex automotive projects from development through to launch. You ll be the central quality contact for customers, leading compliance efforts and driving process improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary quality liaison with customers for project-related topics

• Lead APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific quality deliverables

• Identify and escalate project risks related to quality objectives

• Support cross-functional teams during development, launch, and ramp-up phases

• Promote best practices through lessons learned, problem-solving, and audits

• Validate prototypes and ensure alignment with customer expectations

• Drive internal deployment of customer quality requirements and standards

Candidate Profile

• Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

• Solid understanding of automotive quality standards (e.g. IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, MSA)

• Experience leading quality within automotive project environments

• Strong communication skills and customer focus

• Proactive approach to risk identification, escalation, and resolution
