The Director/Sr. Director, Production is a key leadership position within the Nexus team. You will build strong relationships with our second-party game studio partners, collaborating and supporting them to deliver high-quality titles across multiple platforms.
You will play a leading role in the overall strategy of the second-party studio/team, leveraging internal/external resources to drive this forward. You will lead an internal production team and ensure that projects are effectively managed through all development stages, from initial concept design to commercial release and post-launch support/live-ops.
You will mentor, manage, and lead multiple producers, fostering growth and success, while maintaining a balanced and effective production capacity.
- Partner with one or more second-party studios to enable them to deliver high-quality games efficiently and collaboratively.
- Work cross-functionally, leveraging internal resources to support the studios.
- Be an internal product champion, building deep product knowledge and communicating confidently to key stakeholders.
- Partner with IEGG Business Owner and Studio Management to ensure studios have a clear vision aligned with IEGG portfolio strategy.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure effective production processes, including milestone reviews and regular feedback.
- Help studios identify potential risks early, support mitigation, and track progress throughout the product lifecycle.
- Assess production plans and roadmaps, validating these against overall product status and goals.
- Help resolve complex product issues through ingenuity and creativity to keep projects on track.
- Collaborate with Publishing Support and Marketing to ensure a clear validation testing strategy and go-to-market plan.
- Ensure effective onboarding and communication across support teams (QA, Localization, Tech) to support products efficiently.
- Help foster a collaborative and positive culture within the Nexus team.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of game production experience, shipping titles on PC, Console, and Mobile (including Social, F2P, GaaS), ideally in publishing or external development.
- 5+ years managing direct reports with varying levels of experience.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects, balancing quality, scope, budget, risk, and time.
- Ability to influence without relying solely on positional authority.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams to deliver quality products.
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability to work with diverse teams and styles.
- Strong organizational skills and resilience.
- Deep understanding of what it takes to build successful products and franchises.
- Knowledge of project management concepts, tools, and approaches, with ability to tailor methods to team needs.
