My client is hiring for a Lead Cloud Architect for their team based in Bracknell. Salary ranges from £80K - £94K + 15% Bonus + car allowance. This role offers hybrid working with some travel to customer sites and the office. SC / DV Clearance is required for this role and you will need to be eligible.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the design and development of secure, scalable public and private cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
- Act as a subject matter expert in customer-facing bids and proposals, helping shape compelling cloud strategies
- Collaborate across infrastructure, applications, and operations teams to deliver robust solutions
- Guide cloud adoption and migration strategies, including automation and Infrastructure as Code
- Mentor colleagues, raise cloud capability across the team, and foster best practices
- Troubleshoot and support cloud environments throughout their lifecycle
- Maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and playbooks
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, security frameworks, and industry standards
Skills and Experience:
- Strong background designing and delivering enterprise-grade cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and IaC (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
- Knowledge of recognised security standards and governance models (e.g. ISO27001, NCSC, CIS Benchmarks)
- Proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience supporting pre-sales activities and responding to bids/RFIs
