Casualty Claims Handler
Glasgow (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to ÂŁ30K DOE + Excellent Benefits
A leading global insurance organisation is looking to add a Casualty Claims Handler to their Glasgow-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company offering comprehensive training, hybrid working, and a clear pathway for career progression.
You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of casualty claims—including Employer’s Liability, Product Liability, and some Motor claims—delivering high-quality service to policyholders and brokers while ensuring fair and efficient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a portfolio of up to 350 live claims, assessing liability and quantum on claims valued up to ÂŁ25,000.
- Conduct investigations, gather necessary documentation, and manage claims from first notification through to settlement.
- Identify potential complaints and resolve customer issues effectively, escalating where appropriate.
- Work closely with internal departments, brokers, and policyholders to ensure a professional and timely claims experience.
- Attend client/broker meetings and contribute to account reviews or audits as needed.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, account requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience handling insurance claims (casualty or liability experience highly desirable).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer-focused approach with an ability to manage complex cases efficiently.
- Experience within a commercial insurance environment is beneficial.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and internal claims systems.
- A proactive, organised team player with a problem-solving mindset.
