Positive Employment is currently recruiting for an Applications lead for our client, a local government organisation in Keynsham, Bristol. This role is a 12 month contract with the possibility to extend.
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent knowledge, skills, and proven experience of strategic development in the related service area.
- ITIL v4 Qualification.
- Agile Foundation certificate.
Specific Knowledge & Experience:
- Experience of supporting and developing the Liquidlogic application.
- Expert in an area of Social care - Adults, Children's or Education.
- Proven experience in collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- An in-depth knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Strong expertise in maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of application systems.
- Experience of managing escalations to external suppliers, monitoring responses, taking action and seeing issues through to resolution.
- Proficiency in planning and managing system upgrades.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied and complex workload where there are likely to be conflicting demands.
- Customer focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to impart technical information clearly and succinctly to a non-technical audience.
- The ability to be proactive, think creatively and identify development opportunities.
- Strong team player with a collaborative work style who can provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
Role Dimensions:
- Represent the department as required at external meetings, user groups and forums.
- Supervise junior colleagues and external contractors where appropriate, ensuring that they understand their role, tasks, timescales and the quality of work required.
Working Hours: 37hrs/9:00am - 17:00pm/Monday to Friday
Pay: £30.25 p/h
Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
