The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
Main tasks include the design, specification and development of vehicle systems (including, but not limited to, cooling, steering and fuel systems). Responsibilities involve:
- 3D detailed design CAD models and assembly drawings using Catia V5
- Supporting text and validation of systems, plus supporting the design of any required test jigs and/or rigs
- Working cross-functionally with multiple departments to provide solutions on new designs as well as problem-solving and finding solutions to issues
- Supporting vehicle and test car builds and resolving technical-related issues
- Creating and maintaining systems technical library documentation
- Working with suppliers to define and deliver engineering systems, plus problem-solving manufacturing issues
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical engineering or similar background
- At least 6 years of experience in a comparable environment working with high-performance parts
- A strong background with a solid understanding of systems and mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 preferable)
- Knowledge of PLM System (Windchill preferable)
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Fluent English is compulsory
