  • NW London based min 3 days a week

The role:

  • The successful Buying Lead will manage and develop a team of 3 buyers and will drive the ranging and selection of products across multiple general merchandise categories. This will include building exciting commercial ranges with trending products across lifestyle themes,
  • In the role the Buying Lead will analyse performance of ranges and take appropriate action to achieve targeted performance.
  • The Buying Lead will work closely with other departments and will ensure inventory, pricing and performance measures are run efficiently and effectively.
  • This fast growing scale up is growing at a fast rate and the Buying Lead will be continuously improving ways of working and processes.
  • Leading the team the Buying Lead will be responsible for developing, managing and supporting the personal development of the team members.

Ideal candidate:

  • You will currently be working as a senior buyer or category manager with experience gained from the UK in any category of general merchandise ideally you will have retail and ecommerce sector experience
  • As Buying Lead it is essential to be able to demonstrate leadership and team management experience.
  • This role is focused on selecting and ranging rather than developing product, you must have a flair for curating ranges that include trending products
  • It is essential that you can demonstrate a proven track record of high attention to detail and organisation with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • You will be highly personable and engaging and will build relationships internally and externally with stakeholders
  • For the Buying Lead you will have the drive and ambition to progress within the organisation as the company grows
  • You will thrive in a fast paced start up culture that is growing, evolving at an extremely quick pace
  • It is essential to have excellent IT skills across Word, Excel and PowerPoint along with good data analysis skills.

Benefits & details:

  • Salary up to circa Ā£60k plus bonus and benefits
  • Role is min 3 days in the office in North West London, 2 days at home
  • Excellent opportunity to progress into more senior position
