The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining the company's product suite by sourcing and validating new product ideas across a variety of asset classes and managing the product life cycle from product design to launch and ongoing product enhancements. The candidate will also be instrumental in helping clients and other internal and external stakeholders understand the firm's product strategies and structures.
Position Summary- Source research and validate product ideas.
- Conduct extensive research on product ideas and investment strategies across all asset classes.
- Be informed on capital market fundamentals, economic outlook, major events and potential impact on market as well as general innovation and trends in asset management.
- Build concise business case for ideas, presenting for approval in internal forums.
- Drive product structure innovation.
- Be familiar with different investment wrappers and their differences relative to ETPs in terms of mechanics and strategies delivered.
- Be familiar with regulatory and tax environment in relevant markets and asset classes and be able to recommend appropriate product structures and wrappers.
- Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to negotiate terms and draft and structure product documentation.
- Be a central point for answering product structure and return profile related questions.
- Review performance of products versus competition and to client’s satisfaction.
- Explain investment strategies to sales, marketing as well as investors in face to face presentation and written materials.
- Assist with queries from Research, Sales and Management teams.
- Assist in the management of the product life cycle from sourcing ideas, through to validation, design, launch, and through to ongoing maintenance and continuous enhancement of existing products.
- Identify potential improvements to the existing product platform from a strategy, positioning, or structuring perspective and ensure these are prioritised accordingly.
- Enhance processes and internal tools so team members can effectively manage the product life cycle for broad platform and particularly the idea pipeline.
- Manage cross-departmental projects for new product development and product restructuring.
- Develop and maintain project plans for product related projects.
- Develop automation protocols for ESG data and reporting, as well as monitoring of flow data into funds, and external funds.
- Facilitate communication across project teams by leading regular project meetings.
- Follow up on milestones and target delivery dates.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders and keep management informed of progress.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Strong experience, in a similar role across product development, product management or product structuring.
- Strong quantitative background.
- Demonstrated track record of generating new business with consistent year-over-year growth.
- In-depth knowledge of the ETF market, with a variety of asset class experience (Equities, ETFs, Fixed Income, FX, derivatives and structured products) desirable.
- Self-starter with ability to equally operate independently and in a team.
