Do you have a strong background in Hard FM contracts, technical compliance, and facilities management? As Contracts & Compliance Manager, you’ll play a central role in delivering and managing the maintenance strategy through both contracted and in-house services. This includes statutory compliance, contract performance, and supporting key operational and capital maintenance programmes. You’ll act as a technical lead for compliance, provide guidance to internal stakeholders, and ensure all planned and reactive maintenance work meets legislative, safety, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Hard FM contracts across mechanical, electrical, and fabric services—ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and value for money.
- Ensure full statutory compliance across all critical building systems including accurate record keeping, testing schedules, and certification.
- Support senior management in developing the maintenance strategy and ensuring its effective execution.
- Lead on health and safety compliance within operations, including contractor management and risk assessment processes.
- Provide technical expertise and advice on engineering failures, system performance, and compliance matters.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of budgets and capital plans.
- Support the performance and coordination of the Soft Services functions.
Essential Requirements:
- HNC/HND (SCQF Level 8) or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Significant experience managing contracts and compliance.
- Proven knowledge of statutory and regulatory maintenance requirements.
- Experience managing and monitoring contractor performance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in CAFM systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Sound commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (or willingness to achieve).
