Our client is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their expanding team based in Ashford, Kent. You will be working alongside a supportive, experienced group of paraplanners who take pride in providing a great service to their clients. This will be a hybrid working role in Kent, with a competitive salary on offer.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of suitability letters covering investments, pensions, inheritance tax and protection - delivering accurate, well-drafted and compliant advice
- Undertaking research to reach conclusions and recommendations for clients
- Assisting and supporting the head of department and directors as and when required
- Working within and contributing to the paraplanning team and their processes, helping to further develop these
- Embed change, review, and feedback
- Preparing cash flow planning forecasts
- Involvement in the company’s research processes as required
- Providing technical resource and research to the adviser and management team
- Working with the sales support and adviser to achieve good client outcomes
- Working with compliance to continually improve procedures and ensure advice and client files meet FCA standards
- Keep up to date with legislative and industry changes that will affect the business and its clients
Experience:
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning / Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent, or near completion of
- Previous paraplanning experience
- Good knowledge of investment products, taxation and pensions
- Strong analytical, research and report writing skills
- Initiative and problem solving
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to prioritise and plan own workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
