Are you an Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) looking for a rewarding role with a large Pharmaceutical Logistics operation in Leighton Buzzard? We have an exciting permanent opportunity with great pay and company benefits!
Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
Duration: Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm (Occasional paid overtime may be required)
Start Date: June or July 2025
Salary: £35,000 – £37,000 per annum DOE
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Join our client's pharmacy team as an ACT and play a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medication.
- Carry out final accuracy checks on homecare prescriptions.
- Support the pharmacist by assisting with dispensing tasks.
- Supervise the dispensing and supply of medicines in accordance with SOPs.
- Promote quality, safety, and continuous improvement across pharmacy services.
- Help train and develop pharmacy staff.
- Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, Medicines Act, Good Distribution Practice, and Clinical Governance policies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services.
- Current GPhC registration as a pharmacy technician.
- Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician qualification.
- A strong attention to detail and a patient-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and motivate others in a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm. There may be occasional paid overtime if daily tasks are not completed by 6:00pm, though this is infrequent.
