Join a Technical Transformation. Be Part of F1 History in the Making.
Some roles shape the future. This is one of them. We are working on a project that’s nothing short of transformational, partnering with a Formula One team steeped in heritage, ambition, and serious championship intent. This isn’t just another hire. It’s the beginning of a journey, a comprehensive technical and operational revamp aimed at delivering a competitive edge, from the shop floor to the pit wall.
Right now, we’re looking for a Machine Shop Manager to lead a vital area of the operation: the milling section, with a strong focus on 5-axis machining. This is a role with real influence, where precision, pace, and leadership intersect to deliver performance that shows up on track.
What You’ll Be Leading:
- The day-to-day operations of the milling section, ensuring all machining output meets the highest quality, precision, and performance standards expected in Formula One.
- A skilled team of machinists and programmers, setting the tone for technical excellence, collaborative culture, and accountability.
- The coordination of workflows, shift patterns, scheduling and output in alignment with build programs and car deadlines, where every component counts.
- Continuous improvement initiatives around tooling, process optimisation, and efficiency, always ensuring best-in-class capability.
- Close alignment with design, production, and quality teams to deliver on aggressive performance goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing a precision engineering or manufacturing team, ideally within a fast-paced, high-performance environment, F1, aerospace, motorsport, or advanced engineering.
- A deep understanding of 5-axis CNC milling, tooling strategy, programming, and the nuances of delivering complex, high tolerance components.
- Outstanding people leadership. You’re a motivator, a coach, and a decision maker, someone who can inspire confidence, drive accountability, and maintain morale under pressure.
- A mindset of ownership and urgency, someone who thrives in environments where excellence is expected, and deadlines are non-negotiable.
Let’s Not Pretend:
Formula One is unique. The pace is relentless. The stakes are high. The margin for error? Virtually zero. But for the right person, this is a rare opportunity to make a mark on something special and to play a real role in driving a team toward championship success.
This isn’t a stepping stone. It’s a chance to be part of a reimagined future, one where your leadership helps translate technical potential into on-track performance.
