Our client Rutherford have been exclusively mandated on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Counsel to join our global multi-strategy hedge fund client’s legal team, in London. This will be the first Legal hire for the firm in London, reporting into the General Counsel in New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysing and executing the main terms of the firm’s current suite of trading documents.
  • Collaborating with various business lines, including operations and technology to assist in the development of an automated and integrated resolution to analyse documentation clearly and to efficiently capture any associated risks.
  • Taking control of the pipeline legal re-negotiation of key terms with Prime/Clearing Brokers (e.g. margin calculation, locks, limits).
  • Execution of trading documentation related regulatory projects.
  • Liaising frequently with traders and answering queries that may cover probability of adopting new trading strategies.
  • Assist the wider legal team on general corporate, employment, regulatory and funds matters.
  • Manage KYC/onboardings and negotiate NDAs.

Your profile:

  • 4 - 7 PQE, ideally with strong in-house experience.
  • Must have the requisite knowledge covering the host of trading documentation including Derivatives, ISDAs, CSAs, Clearing Agreements, Sponsored Repo etc.
