Your New Role... This is an instrumental role within a high-pressured sales team at CNNIC, focusing on the Africa and CIS/CEE/SE markets. As a Sales Planner you will be crucial to the day to day running of the team, using your media/agency experience to work across every aspect of the sales business including pitches, proposals to clients, and management of the team Sales Assistant in their day-to-day tasks. You will be responsible for contracts, billing and senior administrative tasks within the team and will assist with coordination and communication, account management, and dealing with day to day representative & client needs.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Proposal & Media Plan Development: Strategically develop tailored proposals, media schedules, presentations, and supporting documents for specific territories based on client objectives.
- Campaign Management & Optimization: Oversee campaign management from start to finish, optimizing existing campaigns by brainstorming creative ideas, analysing data, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Invoicing & Documentation: Oversee the numerical upkeep of campaigns, including managing all administrative tasks related to contracting, invoicing, updating forecasts, and tracking payments.
- Client Coordination & Account Management: Assist in the coordination and management of client needs across markets, ensuring seamless communication between clients, sales reps, and internal teams.
- Team Collaboration & Sales Support: Manage and guide the Sales Assistant to ensure all administrative tasks are handled efficiently, supporting the Sales Manager, Account Directors, and Sales team.
- Proposal Tracking & Reporting: Maintain Excel spreadsheets to monitor the progress of proposals, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate reporting.
- Campaign Execution & Updates: Ensure the smooth running of active campaigns, providing regular updates to clients and reps, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Market & Competitor Monitoring: Stay updated on the competitive landscape, monitoring international networks, print media, and relevant local/regional broadcasters to identify new opportunities.
- Team Support & General Assistance: Provide assistance in the smooth running of the team by managing tasks efficiently and supporting both upward and downward communication within the team.
- Lead Generation & Market Expansion: Collaborate with Account Director, Account Manager, and Sales Reps to proactively identify and generate new prospective clients within assigned markets.
- Collaboration with Creative Teams: Work with creative and production teams to ensure that all advertising materials are aligned with the media plan and client expectations.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Previous experience in media or advertising, preferably within a sales planning or account management role.
- Strong understanding of the global media landscape and key industry trends.
- Exceptional Excel and PPT skills.
- High levels of self-motivation, capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to guide the team’s Sales Assistant as well as being managed by Director in the region.
- English is essential and the good command / good working knowledge of French/Spanish/Portuguese/Italian is a plus.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
