A fast-growing, FCA-regulated trading and investment firm is seeking a talented Java Developer to join their highly skilled tech team. You'll be instrumental in building a brand-new trading platform from scratch, no legacy code, no tech debt, just modern tools and real impact.

As part of a cross-functional team of experienced engineers and finance professionals, you’ll develop high-performance systems using Java and Spring in a cloud-first, AI-forward environment.

To be considered for this Java Developer role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related technical degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in application development.
  • Expert Java / Spring / SpringBoot skills.
  • Strong command of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs (Hibernate/Spring Data).
  • Strong experience in designing and implementing REST APIs.
  • Proficiency in the development environment, including IDE, web & application server, GIT, Jira, unit-testing.

Bonus points for:

  • Exposure to / understanding of Front-End on web and mobile.
  • Experience in building low-latency trading systems.
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud.
  • Experience in DevOps development and deployment using Docker and containers.
