We are looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join this hotel located on the Suffolk Coast. Using only the finest locally sourced ingredients, this venue serves outstanding British cuisine in their modern restaurant and relaxing bar and terrace. This hotel provides spectacular seaside views and remains busy year-round catering for tourists and locals alike.
As Sous Chef, you will be expected to work closely with the brigade to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly. You must have a good working knowledge of each section of the kitchen and have previous experience training junior chefs. Ideally, you will be at either Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef level with good experience in a high volume quality kitchen. You must be flexible to work on all sections as required and have the ability to train junior chefs on each section. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef. You must have good kitchen management skills and be committed to providing a high level of cuisine and service at all times.
The ideal Sous Chef will:
- Have a real passion for good quality cuisine and fantastic food presentation.
- Be able to work in a team, use your own initiative, and be innovative with concepts and ideas.
- Have knowledge of menu completion, stock control, and Rotas.
