We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join a HNW private household in Central London, providing essential cleaning support on weekday mornings. The successful candidate must have prior experience working in private households with a strong background in luxury hotels and an understanding of exceptional service standards, discretion, and immaculate presentation.
The role will involve general housekeeping duties including:
- General daily cleaning of bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, and dusting all rooms as required
- Performing a morning turn-up service
- Making beds and changing bed linens and doing basic laundry
- Maintaining cleanliness in common areas
- Ensuring household areas are always neat, tidy, and presentable
- Reporting any maintenance issues or supply needs to the Cook/Housekeeper
The home is maintained to a very high standard, so excellent attention to detail, efficiency, and a proactive approach are essential. There may also be occasional opportunities to extend working hours for a deep clean, typically on a monthly basis.
You will report directly to the Cook/Housekeeper, working collaboratively to maintain cleanliness and order throughout the residence. Discretion, professionalism, and trustworthiness are key, as you will be working in a private home with high expectations.
The working schedule is 4 days per week, for 4 hours each day, ideally on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and one day over the weekend, with some flexibility regarding the specific days.
Applicants must have impeccable references, a clean enhanced DBS check or be willing to obtain one, as well as the legal right to work in the UK.
