We’re looking for an end to end women’s wear product designer/developer to join our Unfolded brand (ThisisUnfolded.com) for an initial 12 month maternity leave period. With the strong business growth, we expect this to be extended and for the role to be permanent during this period.
The Unfolded Mission and Approach: At Unfolded we’re on a mission to change the fashion industry - our novel approach sees us make clothes without the waste of normal brands and change lives with the savings. Each of our products is designed with the input and feedback of 10,000 members of the Unfolded community and then only made after they order - ensuring no waste. The savings created are used to offer lower prices to shoppers, pay garment workers higher wages and fund kids near our factories in India to learn to read and write. Since launching, we’ve grown to over 100,000 shoppers in the UK, won a range of awards and helped change the lives of over 10,000 kids. With our zero waste model we launch around a new 10/15 product drop every 6 weeks following extensive trend analysis and customer input. We believe that the customer being ingrained in the whole process is what can tackle the issue of waste in the fashion industry and create a long lasting and impactful brand.
We’re a remote team who meet up regularly but preference will be given to candidates based near, or within easy travel of Edinburgh, Scotland. Start date can be flexible but we would like to ensure 4/5 weeks handover so preference would be for someone to start towards the end of June/start of July.
