Our client, a leading privately owned global logistics provider, are recruiting for an Air Import Coordinator to join their team at offices in Hounslow, Middlesex.

- Monday to Friday 9am β 5:30pm: 37.5 hour working week
- 25 Days Holiday plus bank holidays
Main Purpose of the Air Import Coordinator:
- Co-ordination of Air import freight forwarding services
- Responsibility for invoicing & profitability on your jobs
- Responsibility for Customs Compliance on customs entries
- Processing of HMRC queries through to resolution and closure, minimising duty/tax liability and involvement in Customs audits
- Internal customs audit and assessments and analysis on this data
Duties & Responsibilities of the Air Import Coordinator:
- Day to day responsibility for customer service delivery to Air customer
- Management of Air Imports Email Inbox, and procedural work flows of consignments
- Follow up and resolve all operational issues / customer service concerns raised by the customer
- Responsibility for Gross Profit analysis, Sales Invoicing and job costing accuracy
- To promote business development, ensuring all opportunities from existing business are followed up where needed
- Research client operational history past and present, visit their website to gain knowledge of products and any developments
- Contribute to ongoing operational development and cost saving measures
- Identify areas of operational improvement by reviewing process regularly
- Processing of import documents and creation/submission of Customs Entry Declarations
- Keep up to date with Market trends, companies products, services and news
- Establish, Manage and Maintain Internal and External Relationships
- Fully Document attributed clientβs business processes and requirements
- Ensure all HMRC Export and Import entry regulations are met, through self-auditing
- Ensuring accuracy of Import entry declarations through self-auditing
Key client contacts: Supervisors and Managers, HMRC, Shipping & Logistics Supervisors & Managers, Airlines, road Hauliers, co-loaders, suppliers and transport providers, IT software including Boxtop, Albacore and ASM, Overseas agents, BIFA
