The OpportunityNigel Wright are recruiting for a Cyber Security Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team using the latest tools and offering a chance to progress into security engineering. This position is a new additional position and you will be joining a well established and highly experienced team The role is remote working with the odd ad-hoc travel around the UK throughout the year for team meet-ups. An office is available for those that do wish to go in more frequently The Role
- To support the team to monitor, triage and investigate alerts and incidents within the SIEM tool
- Support the SOC team conduct initial incident triage, determining scope, urgency and appropriate actions to mitigate threatsÂ
- Participate in the incident response processÂ
- Support managing BAU request via the ITSM tool
- Support BAU activities such as daily checks
- Assisting with the analysis and trending of security log data
- Supporting triaging of vulnerabilities, response and mitigation with teams across ITÂ
- Supporting remediation actions meetings across technical teams including evaluating and translating vulnerability scan and pentest results
- Support with threat hunting activitiesÂ
Key experience required:
- Experience operating within a security environmentÂ
- Strong experience with Microsoft SentinelÂ
- Have proven experience leading or challenging on initiatives and be a proactive individualÂ
