We are seeking an Associate to join our esteemed Private Client and Charities team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality legal services specialising in a mix of high net worth private client work, including advising on wills and trusts, estate and succession planning, personal tax, probate, and powers of attorney.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide specialist advice in private client, trust, and tax planning for our private clients, working closely with our corporate tax and property teams.
  • Offer guidance on wills, trusts, gifts, probate, powers of attorney, and personal tax matters (income, capital gains, and inheritance taxes).
  • Resolve issues in trust law and tax planning, promoting initiatives to this end.
  • Master complex regulations and procedures with a keen attention to detail, providing clear, practical, and technically correct advice.
  • Translate clients’ needs into legally effective solutions, providing commercially relevant advice.
  • Support other areas of the practice, such as providing technical support to our professional indemnity team.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficient IT and keyboard skills, comfortable with MS Office.
  • Familiarity with both online and library research facilities.
  • Commitment to stay up-to-date with legal developments through reading journals and online updates.
