Our client, Leicester City Council, is seeking a Social Worker for its Forensic Mental Health team.

Details of the role:

  • Social Supervisor role in the community (support provided with this if you do not have previous experience)
  • Holding a caseload to include Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity assessments, care planning, safeguarding etc.
  • Supporting Leicester-based residents on the inpatient ward of a local secure unit
  • Report writing and Mental Health tribunals
  • Low level duty work
  • Risk management
  • Supportive team including Community Psychiatric Nurse and Consultant Psychiatrist for joint visits etc.

Requirements of the role:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Fully Social Work England registered
  • Must have significant post-qualified experience in adult social care and especially with a Mental Health specialism
  • Ideal candidate would have some Forensic expertise and/or AMHP qualification, but this is not essential for the role
