We’re supporting a progressive technology provider in their search for a skilled engineer to deliver expert cabling and networking services to major commercial clients.
This is a field-based role offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on projects across the UK. You’ll be instrumental in designing, installing, maintaining and upgrading critical infrastructure – from server rooms to branch networks. You’ll be confident working independently, responsive to customer needs, and comfortable navigating the pressures of time-sensitive installations. To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
- Solid experience in structured cabling and network installations
- Knowledge of containment systems and cable routing best practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet

- Highly organised with the ability to manage stock and paperwork effectively
- A valid UK driving licence is essential due to the field-based nature of the role
Within this position, you’ll also be:
- Installing and configuring networks, routers, switches, firewalls, servers, printers, and more
- Pulling and terminating cabling (Cat5, Cat6, Cat6a and Fibre)
- Conducting WiFi surveys and testing network infrastructure
- Diagnosing and resolving cable faults and hardware connectivity issues
- Dressing and presenting cabinets to a high standard
- Managing project stock and maintaining accurate documentation
- Supporting network troubleshooting both remotely and on-site using remote support software
- Working closely with clients across a range of retail and commercial environments
- Following established processes and reporting regularly on project progress
