We are seeking an individual who is inspired by playing an important role in changing people’s lives and therefore communities. Our client is all about creating inspirational pathways and opportunities, opening doors and welcoming all to get involved and make a positive difference.

Location: Bradford

Contract Type: Part-Time (22.5 hours per week, with potential to increase to 30 hours) ongoing

Salary: £12.25 per hour

Working Hours: Flexible working pattern over 3–4 days per week. Example schedule: Monday to Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Purpose: To provide practical family support that enhances:

  • Support parents to ensure their children attend school. This could involve directly taking children & young people to school initially and then monitoring progress as routines are established and consolidated.
  • Direct work with children and young people in order to support access (by making referrals and support attendance) to services that will meet their support needs e.g., befriending, youth services.
  • Direct work with parents to support their capacity to parent through access to targeted / specialist services which meet their needs e.g. mental health, substance misuse, debt advice.

This role aligns with client’s targets and outcomes and involves working directly with families in their homes to build skills, confidence, and safe daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support parents in establishing effective routines and boundaries.
  • Assist families in ensuring children attend school regularly (including school drop-offs if needed).
  • Work directly with children and young people to facilitate access to support services (e.g., youth services).
  • Support parents in accessing targeted or specialist services (e.g., mental health, substance misuse, debt advice).

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
  • Commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
  • Willingness to work within the ethos and values of client.
