Rate: Β£250- Β£300 p/d

We are working with a leading international financial institution to hire an experienced Manager within Trade Finance Operations for an initial 6-month contract in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a trade finance professional to step into a key role supporting transaction processing across a range of trade finance products, while collaborating closely with front office, middle office, and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end processing of trade finance transactions, including Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and Receivables Finance.
  • Review and advise on transaction structures, ensuring compliance with UCP, ISBP, URDG, and ISP.
  • Conduct due diligence checks and support KYC processes in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Act as first point of contact for resolving transaction-related queries and issues.
  • Provide operational support, including balance sheet substantiation, reporting, and system input.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and external clients.
  • Cover for senior team members as required.

  • Strong working knowledge of trade finance products and international trade processes.
  • Experience interpreting and applying UCP, URDG, ISP and related standards.
  • Familiarity with AML/sanctions screening and a solid understanding of compliance risk within trade finance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Proactive team player with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ideally You Will Have:

  • Trade Finance certifications (e.g. CDCS, CSDG, or URDG Masters).
  • System knowledge: SWIFT Alliance, TI+ and T24.
