Senior Bid Writer / Bid Manager – Strategic Role in Built Environment

Location: East London/Essex (3 days office / 2 days remote)

Salary: Up to £75,000

A leading contractor in the built environment is seeking a Senior Bid Writer / Bid Manager to play a key strategic role in their expanding work-winning team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the Head of Bids as their right-hand person—helping to shape bid strategy, lead complex submissions, and mentor junior team members.

You’ll be responsible for managing and writing high-quality, persuasive bids across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on construction. You’ll collaborate with technical, commercial, and operational teams to ensure submissions are compliant, compelling, and aligned with client expectations.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong bid writing and management experience (ideally 7+ years)
• Sector knowledge in construction, FM, or sustainability preferred
• Ability to lead on strategy, content planning, and quality assurance
• Confident working across multiple bids and managing deadlines
• InDesign experience is a bonus, but not essential
