About this Role
As a Sales Executive within Dawsongroup Truck & Trailer, you will play a key part in growing rental and contract hire business across your designated branch network. This Sales Executive role, also suited to experienced rental sales professionals or aspiring commercial sales specialists, focuses on building long-term customer relationships while maximising fleet utilisation and revenue.

  • Identify and secure short and long-term truck and trailer rental opportunities.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across the full Dawsongroup Truck & Trailer product portfolio.
  • Work closely with the Contract Hire Manager and branch teams to deliver branch sales and profit targets.
  • Plan and deliver customer visits, prospecting activity, and joint meetings with branch colleagues.
  • Accurately maintain sales activity, opportunities, and forecasting through the CRM system.

About You
You enjoy building relationships, spotting opportunities, and seeing your efforts turn into real results. You do not need to come from truck and trailer specifically, transferable sales experience and the right mindset matter most.

  • Experience in a sales or business development role within a service-led or operational environment.
  • Comfortable managing your own territory, diary, and sales activity plans.
  • Confident communicating with customers, colleagues, and senior stakeholders.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage administration alongside customer-facing work.
  • Willing to learn about asset rental, fleet solutions, and the benefits of usership over ownership.
