Our client is a leading Tier 1 Civil Engineering and Construction company, delivering design-and-build projects with clients in the water sector and beyond, across the UK. They are working closely with Thames Water on their Capital Delivery Framework, as part of its c£2 billion capital programme. As part of the Design and Build Framework lot, our client brings together its design, construction, and consultancy expertise to undertake renewal and refurbishment projects and will assist Thames Water in its target to make continuous improvements to its safety performance, whilst ensuring continuity of supply and consequently lowering costs for its customers. Job Description The role of a Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is procured, delivered within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers’ expectations. You will need to display good commercial acumen, motivation and a proactive nature to support efficient delivery of the project and commercial control to optimise the financial success of the project. Responsibilities: * Post-graduate commercial experience in the construction industry with demonstrable track record of achievement (essential). * Preparing monthly progress valuations and claims for work completed within deadlines. * Producing monthly cost reports, forecasts, and Contract Budget reports. * Management and agreement of Compensation Events and Change on the projects. * Providing support to Commercial Manager and liaising with Customer’s Commercial Team. Experience required * Degree in Quantity Surveying. * Previous experience in a construction/Civil Engineering/Utilities industry background. * NEC 3 or NEC4 experience.
