Our client is an innovative law firm, based in London, dedicated to servicing entrepreneurial clients including start-ups and SMEs. They pride themselves on their ‘people first’ approach and their recently obtained B-Corp status. The firm is currently looking to secure an experienced corporate lawyer with upwards of 5 years’ PQE, for a 9-12-month FTC, to cover a period of leave within the team. While the contract is initially for a 9-12-month period, there is potential for further extension or permanency.

The successful corporate lawyer can expect to advise clients on a range of UK and cross-border corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private equity related transactions, joint ventures, group reorganisations and general corporate advisory work. Clients will include entrepreneurs, start-ups, founders and management teams across a range of industries including technology, hospitality, fitness and leisure.

The successful individual will also take on a supervisory role for more junior members within the team; therefore, prior experience in mentoring or supervising junior team members is highly desirable. In joining the firm, the successful corporate lawyer can expect to be welcomed into a collegiate team and have outstanding client exposure.

Successful corporate lawyers are likely to demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia and/or New Zealand)
  • A strong corporate law background obtained from a notable city or leading regional firm
  • Upwards of 5 years’ PQE
  • A wealth of corporate law experience
  • A desire to work with entrepreneurial clients, SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups
  • The ability to work autonomously with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring more junior members of a team
  • The capacity to start a new opportunity immediately or at short notice

Embracing a hybrid working pattern, lawyers can expect to spend 3 days a week in the London office, with 2 days working from home.
