Gameplay Programmer

Hello!

We are looking for a skilled and motivated programmer to join our team at Vertpaint Games. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles and experience working with C++ and Unreal Engine . You will be responsible for writing efficient, readable code while collaborating with other disciplines to develop and refine core game systems.

//Role Summary:

Role : Gameplay Programmer (Mid / Sr / Lead / Principal)

Salary / Title: Subject to level of experience per candidate

Location: Fully Remote, must be available during core hours each day 10am – 3pm GMT (UK)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain gameplay code using C++ and Unreal Engine .
• Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve shared goals.
• Self-manage tasks and time efficiently to meet project deadlines.

//Desired Skills & Experience:

Must Have:

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming .
• Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine development .
• Ability to write efficient and readable code .
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with source control systems .

Nice to Have:

• 1+ years of experience working as a programmer in the games industry.
• Familiarity with Blueprint programming in Unreal Engine.
• Experience in designing and implementing core game systems .
• Knowledge of other Unreal Engine pipelines , e.g. Animation, Game Design, UI, or Audio .
• Experience with Perforce for source control.
