We are looking for an administrative assistant to support our Nursery and Preschools across Merton. The successful candidate will have administrative experience within an office environment, ideally in a childcare or education setting and be used to working in a busy environment. This is a varied role but key responsibilities include providing day today administrative support to Managers across our childcare service and acting as the first line of contact for all queries relating to the childcare services run by the London Borough of Merton.
Good knowledge, skills and understanding of using a variety of IT software packages for word processing, spreadsheets, E-mail, scheduling and presentations is essential as the ability to accurately maintain record systems. The successful candidate must also be able to communicate effectively and sensitively with members of staff, children, parents and visitors.
This role is based at Lavender Nursery, Lavender Steers Mead and is a 20 hour term time only role.
