Thrive Personnel are currently recruiting an experienced Wood Machinist to join our client on their late shift on a temp to perm basis. Key Responsibilities: – Operate CNC wood machining equipment to cut, shape, and finish wood products according to specifications. – Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine machining requirements. – Set up and calibrate CNC machines, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. – Monitor the machining process and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards. – Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise. – Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely. – Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications: – High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC machining is a plus. – Proven experience as a CNC machinist, preferably in woodworking. – Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. – Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. – Ability to work independently and as part of a team. – Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
